Pumpkin Patches

A couple of weekends ago we went to Wheeler Farm to do their fall/pumpkin stuff. It is an actual farm so there were animals for the kids to look at. We also went on a tractor ride then a hay/corn maze that ends at the "pumpkin patch." The "pumpkin patch" was just a fenced in area with a bunch of pumpkins on the ground. I think the kids had fun, but I wasn't overly impressed with the experience.


The following week Ryan went to a pumpkin patch with his preschool class. They had a hay maze the kids had fun running around in and they had real pumpkin patches where you just wander around in the field where they are grown and find the perfect one. Even though this was simple, I preferred it and I think it is where we will go next year. Though in truth, this just made us miss the pumpkin patches in Oregon as neither compared.



On an unrelated note, I made these cute Halloween jars with the kids. It's just mason jars, mod podge, tissue paper, then black paper for the faces and ribbon around the top of the jar.
