For Memorial Day, my family-history-obsessed husband decided we should go visit some of my ancestors' graves. My dad's mom, Etta Hall Singleton, died in 1974. My mom never even knew her. She is buried in a cemetery in West Jordan. My grandpa will be buried beside her when he dies. We also visited another cemetery in the Murray area where much of Etta's family is buried including her parents and grandparents, mostly family of her mother (last name of Carlisle.) There were a whole bunch of Carlisles and a few Halls all buried in the same area, so I'm sure they are some relation. It was a nice day, though I think we've decided not to visit graves again on Memorial Day. It was unbelievably crowded! We had to park at a Target a couple of blocks away and walk to the one in West Jordan there were so many people there!!
Emily had slept over at her cousin Maggie's house, which is why she is not in the picture.
