After taking Thursday to recover from camping (ok, we actually spent it working on our bathrooms, etc.) we headed over to Lincoln City on the coast on Friday. It was supposed to be rainy and cold, but the rain had moved on it's way before we arrived and it actually wasn't too cold, considering. Beaches here are not the same as beaches in FL, so my FL family thought the weather a little strange, but it was actually pretty nice. We had a very fun time. The kids enjoyed playing on the rocks, digging in the sand and finding interesting things in the pools created by all the rocks.
Ryan and Grandpa had a great time together. Ryan enjoyed throwing rocks that grandpa would find for him into the water ("Nother rock") and also running from the waves ("Water coming".) He got soaked! I was actually surprised he got in, but he loved every minute of it.
A walk down the beach revealed this little stream running right across the beach into the ocean. I've never seen anything like that before, it was pretty cool.
I think we all enjoyed our last trip to the beach for probably a long time.
