A good first date is about 8 hours long... :)

Curtis and I met on Friday, August 23rd. We immediately started communicating via text during the day and talking on the phone every night, (we have communicated like this every day since meeting. We talk a whole lot, about anything and everything.) We arranged to go out on a date the following Saturday. We went up to Midway to go to an outdoor bluegrass concert up there. He brought a picnic dinner. However, the outdoor concert was moved indoors because of the threat of rain, (which it didn't rain.) We decided to still enjoy a picnic first then we went inside to hear some of the concert. After that we just walked around the place for a while and talked some more. We talked a lot that night, (the drive time alone up and back was a couple of hours.) It was a lovely night. I realized afterwards that we had ended up being together for 8 hours. Curtis joked that if you assume an average date is a couple of hours that meant we were already up to 3 or 4 dates. I guess we felt inclined to try to beat that record because our next date was the following Saturday and it was 13 hours long. We spent the entire day together. We met in the morning and enjoyed a lovely hike, then we stopped by the Greek Festival in downtown Salt Lake then we went and saw a movie. I suppose you could say that we immediately clicked and connected with each other and enjoy talking and being with each other. We can't be together as much as we would like because of kids, and he lives in American Fork. Sometimes we joke about how it would be nice if we were both in our young 20's and lived in the same place and could see each other all we wanted, like you get to do when you're young and dating.
