Last Thursday was the Blue and Gold Banquet. Joshua got his Bear and David got his Arrow of Light. He is all done with Cub Scouts and has started with 11 year old boy scouts. He even gets to go to Scout Camp this year.
Saturday was a lovely day so we decided to check out the Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park. When I told the kids that's where we were going they were quite upset, convinced that it would be so boring, "the worst thing ever," and they didn't want to be outside. Given that wonderful preface we ended up having a really great time. The place was much nicer than I expected and it was a beautiful day. There was a little show where they bring out a couple of birds and have them fly around RIGHT over your head. They had a macaw and a falcon. They also had two little White Necked Whistling ducklings that were super cute that walked around everyone and the kids got to feed them. They said it tickled.
