Emily is 11!!

I am not sure how on earth I am old enough to have a child going into 6th grade, but here I am!! Emily's birthday is actually today but we celebrated on Saturday when the family was all here. Emily wanted to go swimming at the rec center so that is what we did. She got an Ipod Shuffle, which she has been having fun listening to it. Tonight we are having her special request dinner, Scones.


Emily is my most helpful and responsible child! She does well at school and always gets her work done on time, mostly on her own. She also enjoys piano lessons. She still likes to do art and has quite a collection of art supplies, she even took a short art class a few months ago. She is really enjoying being in Wizard of Oz and hopefully she'll have more opportunities to be involved in things like that. She took a little babysitting class and this summer I'm starting to leave the kids home alone occasionally with her in charge while I run errands and such during the day. We're so glad to have Emily in our family and we love her very much!!
