Rain-Altered Plans

The weekend of June 19-21 we were supposed to go camping at Bear Lake with our friends the Taylors who we knew in OR but who now live in ID. However, the weather was rainy and cool and that didn't sound enjoyable in a tent, so they came down to our place instead. On Friday evening we went to the Gateway Mall downtown, a large outdoor shopping place. We got dinner and then walked around. They were having a sidewalk chalk art festival, so that was cool to look at. They have this fountain place thing where jets of water squirt out of the ground and the kids had a great time getting wet. Even Benjamin loved it. He walked around without fear and was constantly just missing getting nailed by a jet of water. It was hilarious!

Saturday was rainy all day so we didn't do much except go swimming at our rec center which has a great pool/play area with slide and such. Everyone had fun doing that. On Sunday we went downtown and did a tour of the Conference Center. It was cool to go up on the roof. Then we walked around temple square.

It was a fun weekend! We were up WAY too late each night talking. Let me just reiterate that anyone who ever wants to come stay for a visit at our house is always welcome! We love visiting with friends!
