So last weekend we went camping with some friends who all have kids our kids ages. We went with the Dickinsons as well as 2 families from church. It was at a beautiful state park and we all had a grand time. We went on about a 2 1/2 to 3 mile hike to see a couple of waterfalls. For those of you who don't know my kids are big time wimps when it comes to walking. They did surprisingly well the way there. It was just the way back that was a whine fest, what with having to walk up 100+ stairs and then up steep hills at the very end. We should have walked downhill first. But is was fun and we'd like to do something like it annually (camping with friends, that is.)

Jessie and I talk a lot about camping but we haven't ever actually done it.
