Things I Learned In New York City

1. Don't take a shuttle from the airport to your hotel.
2. Nobody follows traffic laws.
3. Cars really do honk all the time.
4. Don't buy things in stores. Buy them from the guy on the corner or in China Town.
5. The city if full of entrepreneurs. Everything from accordion playing in the subway to bottled water on the Brooklyn Bridge is a money making opportunity.
6. You really don't need a car, the subway is a fabulous and quick way to get around.
7. You could get lost for days in some of those subway stations.
8. You could get lost for weeks in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. That place never ends.
9. There are a surprising number of trees, great parks and public spaces.
10. We need a new camera.

The picture is the view from the top of the Rockefeller Center. It was a cloudy/rainy day.
