The cafe across the street from our hotel we ate breakfast at most every morning.
Sunday we did our hop-on-hop-off bus tour. It was beautiful weather, but the buses were always totally packed. We saw all around mid- and downtown, walked out on the Brooklyn Bridge, saw the construction zone that is ground zero and learned about the city. China Town is great with everyone there selling handbags, t-shirts, sunglasses or perfume. Little Italy was a lot fun, it was a like a street fair. We went there for lunch. It would be a great place to go if you are in the market for a heart attack.

That night we went out to a nice steak house for dinner and had some yummy steak and then headed to Chelsea to the Gotham Comedy club. It was just a set of 5 stand-up comics, but in the middle Jerry Seinfeld just happened to drop by. He was going to be on the Jay Leno show the following night and wanted some practice. We were sitting right in the front row! He was so, so, so funny and made the whole night!! What are the odds of that happening?
Then we went up to the top of the Empire State Building at night. It is so high up it makes your ears pop. It was cool to have that view at night.

Monday was another beautiful day and we headed out bright and early to visit the Statue of Liberty. This was another favorite of mine, it was truly amazing!!! It's so big and majestic! There is a great museum about it inside the monument/base part of it and there are great views looking back at the city from there.

Views of city from Statue of Liberty. Then we stopped at Ellis Island for a little bit and it was really interesting to learn about the process the immigrants went through to get into the country.

We then checked out a great park that is new in the city called the Highline. They took an old, abandoned, elevated railroad line that runs by the Hudson and turned it into a really great park. That was one of Jonathan's favorite parts.
Then we went to the Colbert Report. It was a lot of fun to be at a live show, it is twice as funny when you are actually there!! We both really enjoyed that and it was another highlight of the trip.
Tuesday morning we took a quick peek at Columbus Circle and then made a quick stop at the Amercian Museum of Natural History and saw the planetarium show that was amazing!
We then headed back home and somehow our plane landed an hour + early, which was nice! We had a great trip doing lots of fun things. We were exhausted everyday from being on our feet so much and we spent a lot of time waiting in lines. It's amazing how many tourists are there!! The only things I really wish we could have done but weren't able to because of the juggled schedule thanks to the whole tennis thing was see another play and spend a couple of hours in Central park. It's a great city and I'd go back there any time!

I'll go back with you :)
I'm so glad you got to do that. It looks like you had so much fun.
I can tell you've lost weight even in those little photos of you in NY.
