Last Friday I took Benjamin to the doctor for his 6 month checkup. He weighed 16 lbs. 3 oz. (about 25th %) and was 26" long (just under 50th %) He has these dry, scaly patches on his head and the doctor said it was eczema, so she gave me a prescription for some ointment and it has cleared up very well for now. He is now sitting up on his own quite well and will often play on his own for a while. He is starting to move around quite a bit with his rolling, rotating and a little bit of scooting (backwards.) I now have to figure out how to keep him from falling from the living room down into the kitchen. He is even trying to push up on his hands and knees. He's at the point where you can tell he wants to crawl and move all around around, but he doesn't know how, so he is always very wiggly/squirmy/bouncy and it's sometimes hard to hold him.
We're still working on the sleeping at night thing though he lately goes till around 5 am. Jonathan took to sleeping in another room for a few nights. We need to get Ryan in the bed so we can put Benjamin in the crib in the other room. He likes to say the syllable "da da." He is doing very well at eating food and eats solids twice a day. His eyes are still a beautiful blue and he is still such a cutie pie and generally very sweet and we love having him in our family.
